“Autumn is really the best of the seasons: And I’m not sure that old age isn’t the best part of life. But of course, like autumn, it doesn’t last.” C.S. Lewis

Seasons of spring bring newness, life, cultivation, planting of seeds. Seasons of summer bring sunshine, warmth, length of days. Seasons of winter draw us inside, craving the warmth of the fire, freshly fallen snow covers the ground, all that is living succumbs to rest. Then there is autumn; autumn is defined as the time of full maturity or incipient decline. Isn’t that what we fervently pray happens as we walk with the Lord? Each season we endure the trials & joys, learning, praying, pressing into God’s will. We, God willing, come out of each season having gained experience, wisdom, & increased maturity. Dying to our self, sowing our seeds of faith, reaping a bountiful harvest, producing sweet fruit, fruits of the spirit. Ultimately, we become more like Jesus Christ. I have learned that no matter what my current season entails, nor the size of the waves in the storm, Jesus is enough. Jesus is where I drop my anchor. Into His arms I descend comforted & supported. To be anchored is to be securely positioned; providing a firm foundation. Jesus is my security. God’s word, biblical truth, is my firm foundation.

The Autumn Anchor is a gathering place for women, those of us who desire to not merely survive the seasons of life, transient as they are, but to learn and grow through each season as we embrace what God’s bestows before us. The ultimate goal is to finish well, so here I am ready to support you in anyway I can, offering encouragement through my experience & God’s lavish grace.

“This hope is a strong and trustworthy anchor for our souls. It leads us through the curtain into God’s inner sanctuary. “ Hebrews 6:19 (NLT)

“For everything there is a season, a time for every activity under heaven.” Ecclesiastes 3:1 (NLT)
